Product / Alerts
Know when your research needs attention.
Talvrin Alerts is designed to turn approved monitoring conditions into clear, traceable notifications that take you back to the research and evidence — without turning every update into urgency or investment advice.
Research and intelligence platform. Alerts do not constitute investment advice or trade recommendations.

What Alerts Are and Are Not
Attention with context — not a trading signal.
Alerts can
- Present a supported trigger or event from an authoritative service.
- Tell the user why the alert exists.
- Return the user to Monitoring and Evidence.
- Respect supported preferences and delivery destinations.
- Preserve delivery and audit status where infrastructure supports it.
- Group or suppress duplicate noise under approved rules.
- Show limitations in coverage or service scope.

Anatomy of an Alert Event
How an alert reaches you — and how to verify it.
- Source Event
- Eligibility Check
- Alert Event Created
- Dedupe / Grouping
- Delivery Attempt
- User Opens Alert
- Review Handoff
Example Alert Event
Event title
Evidence change detected — U.K. inflation & monetary policy outlook
Why this alert
Monitoring condition met — 3 governed evidence changes since last review
Research context
U.K. Inflation → Monetary Policy Outlook
Source event
Monitoring event · official inflation release
Triggered time
Example timestamp — format follows locale/time policy
Delivered status
Delivered — verified by notification service
Monitoring state
UPDATED — pending human review
Acknowledgement
Unacknowledged — independent from Monitoring review state

Alerts vs Monitoring vs Watchlists
Three layers, one continuous workflow.
Watchlists
Owns
Organization of research contexts and items a user chooses to keep in view.
Does Not Own
Change detection, materiality, notification delivery.
Monitoring
Owns
Evidence-change detection, "since last review", review workflow and materiality semantics.
Does Not Own
Notification channels, delivery attempts, inbox acknowledgement.
Alerts
Owns
Approved trigger presentation, notification delivery, preference state and history where supported.
Does Not Own
Evidence truth, Monitoring recomputation, investment recommendation.
Evidence
Owns
Source identity, provenance, rights and access, timing, jurisdiction, version and inspection.
Does Not Own
Notification policy or user attention state.
Watchlists help you keep research in view. Monitoring identifies governed changes that may require review. Alerts tells you when an approved condition asks for your attention. Evidence remains the source you can inspect.
Noise Control + Delivery Integrity
Fewer, better notifications — governed, not guessed.
Every safeguard below protects the same principle: more notifications is not the goal, and duplicate delivery is never mistaken for new evidence.
Immutable Event ID
One logical alert event always references one source event and configuration version.
Retries never create duplicate history.
Idempotent Delivery
Repeated delivery attempts to the same destination are safe.
No duplicate notifications from retry logic.
Rate Control
Delivery limits come from configuration and service policy.
Not a designer guess at acceptable notification volume.
Latency Language
Freshness and delivery-speed claims show only when service contracts support them.
No "real-time" or "instant" promise without approval.

AI Assistance Boundary
AI can help explain an alert. It does not become the reason the alert is true.
Never allowed
- Invent an alert trigger or claim a condition was met when the source service did not emit it.
- Become primary evidence or hide the underlying source.
- Give personalized buy/sell/hold instructions or urgency.
- Override coverage, rights, materiality or delivery-status truth.
- Silently enable or disable alerts, or expand recipients and channels without authorization.
Allowed only when approved
- Summarize the source-owned trigger reason and research context with clear AI attribution.
- Help compare the new evidence to prior monitored context.
- Suggest navigation such as Review Changes based on product workflow.
- Draft a plain-language explanation of coverage or rights limitations.
- Assist preference discovery from approved capability options.
Coverage, Rights & Trust
Truth about coverage, freshness, and privacy — stated plainly.
Coverage
Alerts operate only across currently supported monitored and source capabilities. Global architecture is not universal live coverage.
Freshness
No "real-time" or "instant" claim publishes without an approved service SLO/SLA and data-source timing contract.
No-alert meaning
Absence of an alert means no alert was delivered under current configured scope — it does not prove nothing changed.
Rights
Restricted evidence remains protected in alert payloads, previews and history.
Authorization
Every private alert definition, event and detail endpoint performs server-side authorization.
Privacy
Sensitive previews default to minimum necessary context — no private notes or licensed text in uncontrolled surfaces.
Recipient privacy
Team and workspace recipient lists are never exposed unless the permission model explicitly allows it.
Auditability
Configuration, source-event and delivery versions are recorded under retention policy for governance and support.
