Talvrin

Product / Watchlists

Keep the research that matters in view.

Talvrin Watchlists are designed to organize the public-market research contexts you choose to follow, keeping the path back to the research, evidence, and approved monitoring state close at hand instead of scattered across tabs and documents.

Research organization, not a brokerage portfolio. Watchlist membership does not imply ownership, recommendation, or live market coverage.

Deliberate

Follow what you choose — not what an engagement algorithm pushes.

Evidence-aware

Move from a watchlist item back to inspectable evidence where available.

Monitoring-connected

See governed monitoring context without duplicating the workflow.

Human judgment

A watched item is not a recommendation, signal, or automated conclusion.

Context-preserving

Keep the reason, research view, or question close to the item.

Low-noise

A list should help you recover and review, not manufacture urgency.

What Belongs in a Watchlist

Organize the research contexts you want to return to.

Talvrin is built around companies, securities, markets, economic events, policy issues, and research questions as research starting points. Watchlists accept only the item classes the approved capability registry supports — the application never silently creates unsupported object types.

Company / issuer research

Canonical identity, research question/view, evidence/monitoring links.

Dependency: exact issuer/entity model

Security / instrument

Canonical instrument identity and related research context.

Dependency: supported asset classes & identifiers

Market / macro context

Named market or macro research topic with scope/jurisdiction.

Dependency: market taxonomy

Economic event / release

Event identity, relevant research view and monitoring relationship.

Dependency: calendar/event model

Team reviewing research together in a meeting room

Research question / view

Persistent question/view from Research Workspace.

Dependency: research object model

Anatomy of a Watchlist

Every list carries its own purpose — not just a name.

1

Name

Concise, user-understandable, editable if capability allows.

2

Purpose / description

Optional concise context explaining what the list is for.

3

Scope / owner

Personal/team/workspace label only if the permission model defines it.

4

Item count

Reflects server truth; never used as engagement pressure.

5

Last edited

Shown only if materially useful; never implies research revalidation.

6

Review summary

Aggregates approved Monitoring states; never calculates local materiality.

7

Primary action

Open / review list — one dominant action.

8

Secondary actions

Rename, edit purpose, manage items, archive/delete where capabilities exist.

9

Privacy state

Private by default unless product policy says otherwise.

Monitoring & Evidence Handoff

The watchlist row is a summary, not a second engine.

INVARIANT — Watchlists may display Monitoring-owned and Evidence-owned state, but cannot author, recompute, relabel, or silently downgrade it.

Create, Edit & Empty States

Organization is reversible by design.

Create Watchlist

Add Item

Japan Yield-Curve Policy

Macro · Japan

U.S. Treasury Yields

Fixed Income · U.S.

ECB Policy Rate

Macro · Eurozone

Remove Item

Remove “U.S. Treasury yields” from this Watchlist? The underlying research and evidence remain unchanged.

Duplicate add

Prevent duplicate membership or explain existing item per service contract.

Rename / edit purpose

Edits organization metadata only.

Delete / archive watchlist

High-impact action; explains that research/evidence remains unless policy states otherwise.

No search result

States no matching supported item found; never fabricates an entity.

Mutation error

Preserves form/selection state; accessible error; never duplicates on retry.

Name validation

Client + server validation; length/character rules from the capability registry.

Bulk and Destructive Actions

Explicit selection. Explicit consequence. No ambiguous “delete”.

Multi-select

Optional capability; selection count visible and announced.

Bulk remove

Explicit "Remove N items from Watchlist"; no underlying object deletion.

Move / copy between lists

Only if capability exists; server-authorized; destination described before commit.

Clear filters

Never clears selections or list membership unless explicitly stated.

Delete list

Separate from remove items; explicit consequence summary and recovery policy.

Undo

Used for reversible organizational mutations where technically reliable.

Drag reorder

May exist only as enhancement; keyboard alternative required.

Import / export

Not specified by sources; hidden unless separately approved.

Watchlists vs Monitoring vs Alerts

Three layers, one continuous workflow.

Watchlists
Monitoring
Alerts
Owns
Organization of followed research contexts/items; context recovery; summary handoff to research/evidence/monitoring.
Continuous connection between research views and relevant evidence; surfaced changes; review/reassessment workflow.
Future approved delivery/notification layer for configured triggers/events.
Does Not Own
Evidence-change detection, materiality logic, notification delivery, trade signals.
List organization or outbound notification delivery.
Watchlist membership semantics or evidence authority.

AI Assistance Boundary

AI can help organize context. It does not decide what you should follow.

AI May Assist With

Search & evidence discoverySummarizationComparison across sourcesLabeling suggestionsExplanation

AI Must Not

  • Silently add or remove watchlist items, or subscribe a user to alerts.
  • Infer a portfolio or create authoritative "priority" investment scores.
  • Present a claim as watchlist truth if it cannot be supported by inspectable evidence.
  • Commit organizational changes without explicit user confirmation.

Coverage, Freshness & Rights Truth

Being watched is not the same as being covered.

Architecture vs. released

A watched item may exist even when a specific monitoring/data capability is not released; the actual state is shown.

Freshness

Row timestamps are never used as proof that underlying research/evidence is current.

Monitoring availability

Unavailable/limited is kept separate from "no changes".

Rights / entitlement

Membership never grants access to restricted evidence.

Jurisdiction

Exposed when materially relevant to the research context.

Source availability

If a source disappears, safe metadata/history is preserved per the Evidence contract.

Service status

Material outages use system/status communication, never silent stale data.

Global claim

"Global by architecture" is never turned into "every market supported in every watchlist".
